In an earlier post about Oneplus 6 and 6T getting April security, we mentioned that users of these two smartphones will have to wait a bit longer for Android 11.

Well the good news is Oneplus just made it official that these two will get Android 11 update but unfortunately that’s where everything good about it end. cause the actual time frame — is a bit too disappointing.

Oneplus 6 and 6T will start receiving their beta builds for Android 11 in the first week of August which means even if everything goes well we shouldn’t expect getting stable version before december. by that google would have already released Android 12.

So what can we say other than, yeah its better late than sorry but i feel like we keep saying this every time Oneplus or any other companies does something like this than they are never going to learn that yeah its not as bad as not getting it at all but its not good either.
