Today Realme Launched their Realme 8 5G in India which they just yesterday launched in Thailand as well. Don’t get fooled by some design similarities with its 4G variant — its a completely new smartphone.

The newly launched 5G variant of Realme 8 is India’s first smartphone with Mediatek’s Dimensity 700 SOC. Its 7nm based chipset which supports sub-6Ghz connectivity, paired with 4/8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 based Storage which u will be able expand via MicroSD card.

Specification

Realme 8 5G comes with 6.5–inch FullHD+ LCD In-Cell display with 90Hz refresh rate and 600 nits of peak brightness which gives it 90.5% of screen-to-body ratio. For selfies it gonna come with 16MP f/2.1 punch hole design selfie shooter. On its back it features a camera bump housing — a 48MP f/1.8 Samsung’s GM1 lens — a 2MP Macro Lens — a 2MP B/W Lens for sensing depth.

Its powered by Mediatek’s Dimensity 700 — 7nm based SOC and 4 or 8 gigs of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. It will draw its power from a 5000mAh battery which supports 18W Fast charging.

It features a Side-Mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm audio jack and USB type-c port. Out of the box it will run on android 11 with realme UI 2.0.

Pricing

It will be priced at INR 14,999 for its 4GB RAM variant and INR 16,999 for its 8GB RAM variant.

Sale of Realme 8 5G will start on 28th of April at 12PM on Flipkart and it will be availabe to grab in two colors — Supersonic Blue and Supersonic Black
