OnePlus has started rolling out a major OTA update for Oneplus 6 and 6T. This major update brings latest OxygenOS 11 and Latest AndroidOS 11. And actually they surprised everyone by doing this as just like us everyone expected that 6 and 6T users will have to wait till end of this year to get stable android 11 update. So they really surprised everyone, although now i think they might have done this on purpose like first announce a disappointing date (they said in oneplus 6 and 6t users will start receiving beta build in august) then launch it way before that date so that everyone thinks they did something good, when in actuality august is still a bit too late to get Android 11 — but i don’t know you tell me..

Anyway just like any other OTA update specially a major one this update is also being rolled out in batches.

  • Newly added Insight clock style, a joint creation with Parsons School of Design. It will change according to the phone usage data (To set: Settings > Customization > Clock on ambient display)
  • Newly added Canvas feature that can automatically draw a wireframe picture based on a lock screen photo on your phone（Path: Settings – Customization – Wallpaper – Canvas – Choose photo preview and it can be generated automatically）
• Dark Mode
  • Added a shortcut for Dark Mode, you can pull down the Quick Settings panel and find it
  • Supported automatically enable by time range (path: Settings – Display – Dark Mode – Turn on automatically – Automatically enable from sunset to sunrise / Custom time range
• Shelf
  • Newly shelf interface design, the interface is clearer
  • Added weather widget, animation effect smarter
