Earlier today, rumors confirmed that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Watch 6 family will include a rotating bezel on the Pro model, a feature that was skipped with the Watch5 Pro. Now, another rumor suggests that the Galaxy Watch6 series will run on a new chipset called Exynos W980, which is expected to be more than 10% faster than the Exynos W920 that powers the Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch5.

Having an improved System-on-a-Chip (SoC) is undoubtedly a valuable addition, especially since the Galaxy Watch 5 line from the previous year lacked this upgrade compared to the 2021 Galaxy Watch4 devices.

Moreover, sources suggest that Samsung could manufacture the new Exynos W980 using a 5nm process, which could lead to better battery life for the upcoming wearables powered by it.

In addition to the enhanced SoC, the Galaxy Watch6 will boast a larger and higher-resolution screen with narrower bezels and more significant battery capacity. These updates appear to be promising, particularly for those seeking an upgrade from the Galaxy Watch4 series.
