According to rumours Google is set to launch the second iteration of the Pixel Watch later this year alongside its upcoming Pixel 8 and 8 Pro phones. Rumours of Google working on the Pixel Watch 2 have been circulating for some time now, and it appears that the wait may soon come to an end.

It is anticipate that the Pixel Watch 2 will introduce a new chip that should surpass the Exynos 9110 chip used in the first generation model in terms of efficiency. As a result, the upgraded chip should provide longer battery life and superior performance, thereby enhancing the appeal of the smartwatch for heavy users.

It is expected to introduce significant software improvements in addition to hardware upgrades for the Pixel Watch 2. The device is likely to feature Google’s new Material You design language, which was introduced in Android 12, offering users more dynamic and customizable interfaces. An update to Wear OS is also anticipated, with new fitness tracking features such as overnight skin temperature and oxygen saturation stats to be added by Google.

The upcoming Google I/O event on May 10 is expected to showcase the debut of the Google Pixel 7a and Pixel Fold. Google may also tease and provide additional information on other devices, such as the Pixel Watch 2. As we approach the supposed October release date, hopefully, more details will emerge.
