Yesterday, Apple made an announcement about iOS 17, unveiling several notable features such as StandBy mode, NameDrop, and Live Voicemail. As customary with new iOS versions, Apple has discontinued support for several older iPhone models, including the iPhone X, iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus models.

To experience iOS 17, users will require an iPhone XS series or a newer model that meets Apple’s compatibility requirements. The second and third-generation iPhone SE models continue to receive support, indicating that the bottleneck for the iPhone X and 8 series lies in the aging A11 Bionic chipset.
