Xiaomi rolled out HyperOS 1.0 yesterday for the Redmi Note 13 5G series in India, including the Redmi Note 13 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G. These phones launched in 2023 with Android 13 and MIUI 14.

HyperOS promises overall performance improvements through “comprehensive refactoring,” resulting in smoother gameplay and better battery life. It also optimizes task scheduling to distribute tasks across multiple processing units for maximum performance. The update further enhances the devices’ capabilities with various optimizations throughout the underlying technology.

Users will experience a brand new customizable lock screen, a redesigned Control Center with icon-only interfaces, interactive notifications, new app icons and animations, a revamped File Manager app with improved categorization, and fresh weather animations.

Similar to other software rollouts, this update will be released in stages, so it might take a few days or even weeks to reach all Redmi Note 13 5G series devices in India. Regardless, the update process has officially begun.
