Samsung is bringing back the “s” versions for its mid-range smartphones! A Galaxy M55s is on the horizon, revealed by a Wi-Fi Alliance certification for a new Samsung phone (model number SM-M558B).

This model number follows the pattern of the Galaxy M55 (SM-M556B), strongly suggesting an “s” upgrade. Unfortunately, details are scarce besides its support for dual-band Wi-Fi.

To jog your memory, the Galaxy M55 sports a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ display (1080×2400 resolution), 120Hz refresh rate, and 1,000-nit peak brightness. It packs a Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 chip, 8GB or 12GB of RAM, 128GB or 256GB of expandable storage, and a triple rear camera system (50MP main with OIS, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro). Don’t forget the 50MP selfie camera and the 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging.

Following past trends, the M55s should boast an improvement in at least one area. We’ll keep you posted on the specifics once we learn more!
