Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold7 will feature a 200 MP main camera, according to a new report. This confirms last month’s leak, which included the first renders of the device.

Samsung is reportedly using the same 200 MP sensor found in the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition released in Korea and China last year. It’s also the same main camera as the one in the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This marks a significant upgrade from the Fold6’s 50 MP main shooter.

The report also states that Samsung will finally upgrade the under-display camera beneath the folding screen. While details remain unclear, users can expect better quality and higher resolution than the current 4 MP sensor—an improvement many will welcome.

Unfortunately, Samsung won’t upgrade the rest of the camera system. The Fold7 will retain the same 12 MP ultrawide, 10 MP telephoto, and 10 MP cover screen selfie camera as its predecessor.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold7 in July, alongside the Flip7 and its first tri-fold device, which may see a very limited release.
