Samsung is shaking things up with the design of its upcoming Galaxy Buds3. In a stark departure from previous iterations, the Buds3 will sport a stemmed design, marking a first for the Galaxy Buds line. This design overhaul coincides with the company’s Unpacked event scheduled for July 10th.

While some might be quick to point fingers and accuse Samsung of mimicking Apple’s AirPods, it’s important to remember that the stemmed design is a well-established choice within the true wireless earbud market, embraced by numerous manufacturers. This shift in design philosophy could prove beneficial for Samsung, potentially addressing a known shortcoming of previous Galaxy Buds models (excluding the 2020 Galaxy Buds+). The stemmed design allows for microphone placement closer to the mouth, which could significantly improve audio quality during calls.

Samsung is also expected to equip the Galaxy Buds3 with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology, further enhancing the overall user experience. And while Apple might have spearheaded the popularity of stemmed earbuds, Samsung is taking a distinct approach with its Buds3. The unique angular design of the stems sets them apart from the AirPods, offering a fresh aesthetic.
