Samsung recently hold an event — Galaxy unpacked event — in which they revealed two new foldable smartphones – Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. Now according to a report they plan to sell 6.5 million Foldable smartphones in this year. our expectation is majority of this would come from Fold 3 and Flip 3.

Which is really huge considering they only sold 0.7 million units in 2019. I think as the pricing this year is a little cheaper, more offers and the fact their won’t be any new addition to Galaxy Note series this year, meaning they will be able to allocate more resources for Galaxy Z Fold & Flip series — they might actually achieve it.

They are already dominating foldable smartphone market as their is little to no competition in this segment. Looks like they are all set to cash it in this year. They are doing their best to turn Foldable smartphones into mainstream product.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 starts at $1,799.99 in the US and is already up for pre-orders and will be available for purchase from 27th August. It will be available in three colors — Phantom Black, Phantom Green, and Phantom Silver.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 starts at $999 and will go on sale from 27th August. This will be available in four colors — Cream, Green, Lavender, and Phantom Black and three more exclusively sold through the Samsung website — Gray, White, and Pink.
